Really Good Driving School

Driving Lessons Partick

Welcome To RGDS Partick

Welcome to the website for QUALITY driving lessons in Partick/ Glasgow Westend.

If you are looking for an expert Grade “A” (the highest) driving instructor in Glasgow, with over two decades of experience, who really knows how to teach and get the best from their pupils, then you have arrived at the correct place.
I can’t however, offer you cut price, poor quality, cobbled together lessons.

You will probably find other cheap driving schools in Glasgow who do this.
I know you have a choice to make and some of you will be looking based on price, others quality. Maybe the question is, who will teach me thoroughly and will cost less in the end?
 Quality or Quantity?

Pass Plus

Pass Plus is a great course and should have been a major contributor to reduce horrendous young/new driver accident statistics…but with a take up of just 1.5% nationally it seems to have failed. Learn more about pass plus.

Prices

With the ongoing fuel price rises and ever increasing costs assosiated with motoring in general, Really Good Driving School are happy to have established their pricing as representing great customer value

Unlike Large National Driving Schools – We Know Partick!

Partick can be a great place to learn to drive from. It’s only a short hop to quieter locations to begin learning to drive, and for an advanced learner Partick presents many challenges like the busy Dumbarton Road and Clydeside Expressway.

At “Really Good” we use our expert knowledge to route plan lessons. Why on earth would we take you to Govan, for instance, to learn “unmarked crossroads” when there are two on Gardiner St. and several in nearby Jordanhill?

So, how would we use your locality to best effect?

For a very first lesson we generally are looking for a quiet straight road, somewhere that’s as stress free for our pupils as possible. South st., at certain times of day can fulfil this requirement, as can sometimes Victoria Park Drive South.

As our pupils gains control of the vehicle, we can introduce junction work in further lessons. Again, nearby Whiteinch has good roads for this, and once more advanced, the learner can begin dealing with busier junctions like the one way systems near White Street and |dowanhill St.

This is just a sample of how good lesson planning will bring out the best in our learners but rest assured, we will not have our pupils stressed out in the middle of a complex traffic situation. Learning to drive is a task best achieved in careful progressive steps, and guided by an expert. Please see our “Testimonials” page, where many from Partick have commented on our qualityinstruction.
